Colorado Energy Festival Announces Charitable Giving
Monday, April 24th, 2017 – The Colorado Energy Festival announces 100% of event proceeds going to community focused non-profits. Last week, the US Energy board sat down with several of its partners and asked the question ‘How do we effectively engage the communities we support?’ A mixture of answers led us to the same consensus – focus on the community.
Here in Weld County, our team has reached out to over 90% of the energy companies in the area. The ones you see on our website are the ones who believe in fostering the development of community and industry relations. With all but one high-level designation (Stage) taken, organizations like Greeley Harley-Davidson, NGL Energy Partners, Colorado Petroleum Council and Innovative Foods are leading the way and endorsing the theme of ‘Celebrating American Energy’. We are encouraging companies already participating in this year’s event to help spread the word.
The Colorado Energy Festival proceeds will go to Weld County Veterans Affairs office, the Wounded Warrior Project, Greeley Rotary Club and USEnergy.org. We have raised our second round of 100 free tickets for Weld County Disabled Veterans and will be dropping them off later today. In other news, we are excited to hear how Governor Hickenlooper feels about the state of the Colorado energy industry in an exclusive interview later this week, stay tuned.
With less than a month to go before the first annual Colorado Energy Festival kicks off, let’s make sure your company knows about all three CEF event segments: for companies – the Colorado Energy Golf Tournament (May 19th), for the general public – The Colorado BBQ Cook-Off, and the concert series featuring the legendary Charlie Daniels Band, Little Texas and Whiskey Rebellion at Island Grove Park (May 20th).
